While working for Ogilvy and Mather we won the bid to develop a content management system to manage all the highly fragmented department websites.  My job was that of information architecture – how best to organize their existing web content into a more manageable and user-friendly presentation. The most challenging part of the process was wrangling approximately 20 independent IBM departmental websites that each had completely independent file structures, internal scripts, double-byte character errors, incorrect English usage and worst of all – hard coded links.
