NASA Presentation – Astrophotography in the Classroom

For the past few years I’ve been lucky to have acquired enough equipment and hard-fought knowledge to incorporate astrophotography into my Astronomy curriculum. I figured out ways to offer students the same learning with or without access to a telescope, AND do real science that the pro’s do. Most college freshman and sophomores studying Astronomy don’t get to do what my high school students are doing on a regular basis. I figured more schools would be interested in putting astrophotography into their curriculum, so I proposed my plan to NASA’s Space Educator Conference and it was accepted. Below is the presentation made at the conference.
